Melinda Brown
Creative Experience Officer

As President and Creative Experience Officer, Melinda brings nearly 20 years of event planning expertise to her clients with an intimate understanding of the logistics and connections required for event success. Melinda began her career working for numerous colleges and universities, and most recently a national nonprofit. Event attendees frequently commented on the uncompromising attention to detail and impeccable organization of her events, prompting her to start Melinda Brown Events, Inc. during the summer of 2015.

Melinda’s bubbly personality, enthusiasm and dedication put her clients at ease as she brings their vision to life. Her planning experiences include intimate gatherings for a dozen guests, week-long activities for hundreds of attendees, and community fundraisers for thousands of participants. No matter the number of guests, Melinda’s events are personalized and memorable.

Born and raised in rural Iowa, attending college at a private women’s college in Virginia, and relocating to Colorado in 2011; Melinda has a perfect blend of Midwestern work ethic, Southern hospitality, and Colorado ingenuity. In her free time, Melinda greatly enjoys quality time with her fur babies, contagious laughter, fresh-squeezed lemonade, shopping vintage boutiques, watching snowflakes fall in the winter, and exploring the country and world through travel.

An active volunteer, Melinda is passionate about consistently contributing her time, talent and treasure to several organizations including Animal House Rescue & Grooming, Leadership Fort Collins, Junior League of Fort Collins and the 2015 grassroots effort of alumnae collectively raising $28 million in 100 days to save her alma mater, Sweet Briar College. She continues volunteering for Sweet Briar as a Regional Leader of the Alumnae Alliance and spearheads event efforts in seven mountain-region states. She is a 2013 graduate of Leadership Fort Collins and was recognized by BizWest Media as an honoree of the 2014 Northern Colorado “40 Under Forty” program.
